Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in vanilla extract and orange zest.
Add flour and salt. Mix until dough forms.
Shape dough into a log, wrap in plastic, and chill 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice dough into 1/4” rounds.
Place cookies on lined baking sheets. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
Cool completely. Dip half of each cookie in melted chocolate.
Sprinkle with extra orange zest. Let chocolate set before serving.
