She argued that people need to understand that she is just a mother, her son is still a young child and their lives are not controlled by his condition.
The exhausted young mother continued, “My son may look a little different, but that doesn’t mean it’s just a lesson to teach the world.” Repeating the same diagnosis and explaining my son’s medical problems to others can be emotionally and psychologically challenging.
We are just an ordinary family. I hope that one day everyone will accept people with disabilities and stop making assumptions about them just based on their appearance or physical characteristics.
It is quite disheartening to see that people these days are still quick to judge individuals who differ from them in any way. One can only hope that more kindness and inclusiveness will be shown to all.
