2. Citrus essential oils
Citrus essential oils contain a substance called limonene. When diffused into the air, the oils release numerous aromas that purify the air. They also help limit weed growth in the garden.
Ingredients :
- Citrus essential oil (lemon, bergamot, orange or grapefruit)
- Dishwashing liquid
- Water
Preparation :
Mix one tablespoon of dish soap with 20 drops of citrus essential oil. Add the mixture to a bottle filled with water and spray the weeds with this solution several times a day for fast results.
3. Boiling water
To get rid of weeds, you can also simply scald them. Simply heat water in your kettle and pour the liquid over the base of the unwanted plants. If your weeds have very long roots, you’ll need to be sure to use a large amount of water to kill them. It’s recommended to use this method three times a day to get rid of weeds.
4. Sugar
This method is an ancient natural alternative that fights environmental invaders without resorting to toxic products. This is because our homes are filled with products that have harmful effects on our health. Indeed, sugar is a nutrient that has the ability to reduce the growth of certain unwanted plants. Therefore, you can control the presence of weeds by directly applying sugar to them.
