Claudette, aged 74, expressed the family’s helplessness in the face of this debilitating condition. “It’s an illness we know so little about,” she said. “There are spasms – they’re impossible to control. Although there is no cure for Stiff Person Syndrome, there are treatments available to slow down its progression. Despite the challenges, Celine is demonstrating remarkable resilience and remains committed to her fans.
In an emotional message shared on social media, Celine apologized to her fans for the tour’s cancellation and explained her current health status. She emphasized her determination to regain her strength and return to the stage, saying, “I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!”
However, she acknowledged the difficulties of touring in her condition, which is affecting her ability to perform as she used to. She expressed her hope that, in the future, she will be able to perform for her European fans as originally planned.
Celine’s openness about her health struggles is a testament to her strong connection with her audience. She previously revealed, “I’ve always been an open book,” and she decided to share her diagnosis when she was ready to discuss it.
