I’ll be honest – I used to pop open a tube of refrigerated dough on busy weeknights. It was so easy to spread onto a sheet for pizza or shape into rolls. But once I perfected this fast homemade dough, I was hooked!

- 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup warm water 110°F
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the yeast, sugar, olive oil, and warm water. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

In a separate bowl, stir together the bread flour, whole wheat flour and salt.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined. Knead dough by hand for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding more bread flour 1 tbsp at a time if needed to reduce stickiness.

Cover bowl with a damp towel and let dough rest for 10 minutes. Dough is now ready to use.

Shape as desired for baking – loaf pan, rolls, pizza crust, etc. Bake as recipe directs.
