One teaspoon (or five grams) of salt is required.
Three hundred milliliters of water, or around one and a half cups
Three quarters of a cup (420 grams) of flour, plus one additional tablespoon
One hundred grams (or around one cup) of shredded cheddar cheese
It takes around half a cup (100 grams) of butter to melt.
Getting Ready
Form the dough:
Combine the salt and water in a large basin and whisk to combine.
With a spoon, gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture until it begins to blend.
Knead the dough by hand after transferring it to a floured surface. To make it soft, add another spoonful of flour and continue kneading if the dough is too moist.
Give the dough a good fifteen minutes to rest.
Prepare the butter and cheese.
In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and shred the cheddar cheese while the dough is resting.
Roll out the bread.
Divide the rested dough into four equal halves.
Roll out each piece into a ball, and then press down on each one to make it thinner and more oval.
Cover each oval with melted butter.
