Ingredients:
Advertisement:
- A handful of fresh parsley leaves (or 2 tablespoons of dried parsley)
- 1 quart (4 cups) of water
- Optional: lemon juice or honey to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Parsley:
- If using fresh parsley, rinse the leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities.
- Chop the leaves coarsely to increase the surface area for infusing.
- Boil Water:
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
- Steep the Parsley:
- Add the chopped parsley to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea will be.
- Strain and Serve:
- Remove the pot from heat and strain the tea into a teapot or directly into a cup.
- If desired, add lemon juice or honey to enhance the flavor. These additions can also complement the diuretic properties of the tea and provide additional vitamin C (lemon) or a soothing effect (honey).
- Consumption:
- Drink parsley tea 1-2 times a day. It’s especially effective when consumed in the morning or before bedtime.
