How to fight ants on skirting boards
In the absence of these precautions, it is easy for ants to invade the areas of the house where there are cracks, such as the baseboard, and if there are cracks in the walls or on the floor the situation can degenerate.

One of the first things to do before moving on to natural remedies to eliminate ants is to close any cracks or crevices present in the walls, corners or floors. Then you can move on to natural methods using the products recommended below.

Ant Remedies for Baseboards
There are some natural methods that involve the use of substances that we commonly keep in the kitchen and that prove extremely effective for eliminating ants from skirting boards .

These natural remedies are also economical because, as already mentioned, we already have the ingredients in the kitchen . Here are some to use to fight ants:

Brewer’s yeast – excellent for eliminating ants, it should be mixed with baking soda and icing sugar until it forms a creamy mixture, to be applied to the points of the skirting board from where you think these insects emerge.
Vinegar – Make a solution of water and vinegar, put it in a spray bottle and spray it on the baseboard. Ants can’t stand the smell of vinegar and will run away as soon as they smell it.
Coarse salt – if there is a coming and going of ants on the skirting board, sprinkle some coarse salt on it and also put a handful where you think the anthill is. Its effect will be immediate and the ants will move away.
Pepper – Pepper is also great for keeping ants away and you can simply sprinkle a handful over your skirting board and the corresponding floor to keep them away.
Soap and water – Mix soap and water and you will get a solution that smells unpleasant to ants. Spray it on the baseboard and they will go away.
Other remedies to keep ants away
Among the natural remedies to keep them away from the baseboard there are others that you can prepare without spending anything thanks to the ingredients you always have on hand.

Cloves are excellent , a natural repellent to use against ants, ideal to place on the skirting board and also in other areas of the house.

Bay leaves are also a valid ally to keep them away from your home. You can put some leaves in the drawers or you can put the chopped leaves in gauze bags and place them where you prefer.

Lemon juice is also effective . The juice should be diluted in water and the contents put in a spray bottle and then sprayed on the baseboard and wherever you think these annoying insects are.
