While flipping through the channels one evening, James asked if there was a show on Food Network dedicated to dessert. I told him that there was not. Strange thing happened shortly thereafter. Dessert First was introduced! I think he is a little psychic or something. Very weird. Of course, I had to check out a show all about dessert! I actually kind of like it. The host draws me in and then watching her bake, I’m done. I finished making two desserts from the Thanksgiving party and both were very well received.
The first was a Cheddar Cheese Apple Pie. Oh my. I’d heard of having cheddar in apple pie but I hadn’t actually had it. Let me tell you, I was definitely missing out! This was delicious, The crust was flaky and buttery, with the perfect savory note from the cheese, which always goes so well with apples. As far as pie goes, this one came together quickly and easily, which is always a plus.
