Kamala Harris held a rally around the same time that was energetic and positive. It was a well-organized, inspirational event, with thumping music from artists who personally approved the use of their songs. Unlike Trump.
Then the Press coverage started to roll out, and wow—it was awful. Corporate media either completely ignored it, or acted like the two events were one and the same. They absolutely were not.
The Guardian and WaPo said it was a “dance party.” CBS, ABC, and others called it an “impromptu concert.” The NY Times actually did call it “odd,” and NBC said it was “surreal,” but none of this comes close to telling the real story. Not by 100 miles.
It was quite literally the most unhinged thing I’ve ever seen Trump do. Despite how it was painted by corporate media, it wasn’t just odd. It was the clearest evidence yet of Trump’s mental decline, and that’s how it should have been reported.
