Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Prepare the Skin:
- Clean the area around the wart thoroughly with soap and water. Pat it dry with a clean towel.
- Protect Surrounding Skin (Optional):
- Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly around the wart to protect the surrounding healthy skin from the acidity of the vinegar. This is especially helpful for sensitive skin.
- Apply the Vinegar:
- Soak a cotton ball or pad in apple cider vinegar and squeeze out any excess. The cotton should be damp but not dripping.
- Place the Cotton on the Wart:
- Place the vinegar-soaked cotton ball directly over the wart, ensuring it completely covers the area.
- Secure with Band-aid:
- Use a band-aid or medical tape to secure the cotton ball in place. Make sure it’s firmly attached so the vinegar can work its magic overnight.
- Leave it On:
- Leave the cotton ball on the wart for at least 24 hours. If it becomes uncomfortable, you can change the cotton ball after 12 hours or remove it overnight and reapply the next day.
- Check the Wart:
- After 24 hours, you may notice the wart turning black, shrinking, or starting to peel. This is a sign that the ACV is working. If the wart is still present, you can repeat the process daily until it falls off, typically within 1-2 weeks.
