Garlic and essential oils as repellents

The strong smell of garlic and certain essential oils ( lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus )  disturbs bedbugs and disrupts their orientation .

  1. Mix  25 ml of lavender essential oil ,  50 ml of tea tree oil  and  1 liter of water .
  2. Spray on linens, mattresses and suspicious corners.

High temperature washing

Wash your sheets, clothes and curtains at  a minimum of 60°C  to kill  eggs and larvae . If possible, tumble dry them  on a hot setting .

Good to know:  Place infested items in an  airtight plastic bag  and freeze them for  48 hours  to kill the bedbugs by freezing them.
