My husband brought his mistress home to kick me out – I had no idea he would be homeless an hour later

After years of trying to maintain my marriage, I thought catching my husband with another woman was rock bottom.

But nothing could have prepared me for the way he introduced me to his lover, or for the unexpected ally who appeared to smooth things over.

I had no idea a marriage could end like this, but my husband, Logan, decided to make a public spectacle of this total disaster. If I had known what he was capable of, I might have seen it coming.

Let me back up a bit. I’ve been married to Logan for five years, and let’s just say the fairy tale part didn’t last very long. Things started off well, and we were truly all in this together.

But then trouble came, and our struggles to conceive a baby affected our relationship more than I had initially imagined. My mental health deteriorated, and I felt like a complete failure.

Meanwhile, Logan was starting to pull away instead of supporting me. He seemed more interested in “finding himself,” which apparently meant going to the gym and buying a fast car.

I questioned everything about myself. I blamed my own body for not being able to get pregnant. But I never thought…

Anyway, last night, my best friend Lola convinced me to leave the house to clear my head and have some fun. My husband had told me he was going to stay late at the gym, so we went to a cozy, dimly lit jazz club downtown where the music was pleasant but not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation.

The atmosphere of the club was perfect for relaxing a little. Lola was laughing and in a good mood, when suddenly she fell silent. His eyes widened as he looked somewhere over my shoulder.

“Natasha… I don’t want to alarm you, but… is this Logan?”

A cold terror flooded my body. You could call it feminine intuition, or maybe it was what I saw on her face. But I knew what I was about to see as soon as I started turning around.

Sitting at a table in the corner, I saw my husband with a young woman hugging him. She was laughing, and he leaned over to whisper something in her ear.

Nothing like this had ever happened to me, not even during my college relationships. I never thought I’d be the type of woman to make a scene. But my body moved on its own.

In an instant, I was standing next to their table, and my outburst made them both jump. “Logan, are you serious?” I yelled.

My husband looked up, confused and surprised for a second. But soon, I saw relief flood his face, and worse, his expression transformed into a mocking smile.

“Natasha, finally,” he said, that stupid grin still on his face. The girl next to her, Brenda, smiled back and looked at me like I’d won.

“Logan,” I tried to speak, not knowing what to say, but he interrupted me.

“Look, Natasha. It’s better that you know it now.” “I don’t need to hide it anymore,” he said nonchalantly. “I’m in love with someone else. Our relationship is over.” “It’s over.”

Just like that. Without hesitation. Without regrets. I wanted to scream, to cry, to slap his smug face, but somehow, I just stayed there, numb.

Suddenly, Lola grabbed my arm, muttering something about how Logan would regret this one day, and led me outside.

I didn’t even realize I was driving my car straight to his apartment until he sat me down on his bed, where I finally collapsed.

The next morning, after barely sleeping, I decided to go home and confront him. Maybe he’d come to his senses.

But when I arrived at our house, what I saw was like discovering his deception all over again.

There, in the garden, were all my belongings, scattered around like trash. Clothes, photo frames, even my old school books, thrown away without a second thought.

And there he was, standing on the porch with Brenda by his side, grinning like he’d just won the lottery. I got out of the car, feeling the numbness take over, and walked slowly toward them.

Logan got straight to the point. “I don’t think I need to remind you, but this house belongs to my grandfather, and you have no right to it,” he sneered as my face remained expressionless. “You’re out the door. Pick up your things and leave. Now.”

I stood there, completely numb, as his words sank in. Not only was he cheating on me and leaving me, but he was also kicking me out of the house. And the worst part? He seemed to be enjoying every second of it.

Still, I tried to keep my cool. There was no way I was going to give him the satisfaction of watching me break down. So I started packing my things, throwing clothes and belongings haphazardly into the trunk of my car. But the humiliation burned deep inside me.

Instead of coming in like Logan, Brenda stood on the porch and stared at me. He couldn’t even hide his amusement. When I looked up, he decided to rub salt in my wound.

“I can’t wait to redecorate this house,” she sighed happily, crossing her arms. “It’s old women’s stuff, and it’s so ugly.”

My face went blank. I tried to think of anything I owned that could stay inside while I loaded my things into the car. It was a simple sedan, so I’d definitely have to make another trip.

I hope Lola won’t mind if I stay with her for a while. But just as I was thinking about these things so as not to show emotion or break down again, I heard it: the rumble of a car pulling up behind me.

I turned around and there, getting out of a sleek black BMW, was Mr. Duncan, Logan’s grandfather. And he looked confused.

If there’s one thing everyone in town knows, it’s that Mr. Duncan can be tough. He built a family fortune from nothing, so he had high expectations for all his children and grandchildren.

At first, I thought being the brother-in-law of the family would cause me difficulties because of him. But for reasons I never understood, he treated me incredibly well from the start. He wanted me with his grandson.

Yet I was still afraid of what might happen as I watched the scene with my belongings on the lawn, a strange woman on the porch, and Logan nowhere to be seen.

“Logan, honey, come here!” Brenda shouted, worried.

And the sound of his voice made Mr. Duncan frown at first. Then his expression changed from confusion to pure anger.

“What the hell is going on here?!” Mr. Duncan’s voice echoed as Logan walked out with his mouth open.

“Grandpa, we didn’t know you were coming today,” he began, swallowing. “This isn’t the best time. We’re dealing with a private matter. You wouldn’t understand.”

“Logan, I may be old, but I understand perfectly what’s going on,” the old man replied in his thick voice. “I only asked because I didn’t want to believe what I was seeing.”

“Grandpa,” Logan tried, but couldn’t get another word out.

“Looks like you kicked my favorite granddaughter out of the house and are hanging out with that bitch.” “Did I do something wrong?” Mr. Duncan continued abruptly, and I didn’t feel bad about his insult to Brenda.

“Grandpa, Natasha and I… it’s over. She doesn’t belong here anymore.”

“And who gave you the right to decide that?” Mr. Duncan’s eyebrows raised. She looked at me tenderly for a second before turning to Logan.
