    1. Peel and Slice the Ginger: Start by peeling the ginger root and thinly slicing it to maximize the surface area that will contact the water.
    2. Boil the Ginger: Place the ginger slices in a pot with about 1 liter of water. Bring the water to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes. The longer you simmer, the stronger and more potent the tea will be.
    3. Strain and Serve: Remove the pot from the heat and strain the tea into a cup. If desired, add honey or a squeeze of lemon to enhance the flavor.
