DIY Cleaning Paste Guide

This paste, effective against both limescale and grease, is ideal for ovens, kitchen tiles, and cookware. You’ll need six tablespoons of concentrated dish soap (any brand), three tablespoons each of powdered dishwasher detergent and baking soda, plus a tablespoon of white vinegar.

Prepare a Container: Use a disposable or recycled container, such as a cleaned plastic ricotta tub, to mix your paste.
Mixing the Paste: Combine three tablespoons of baking soda and powdered dishwasher detergent in the container. Add six tablespoons of dish soap and mix well with a wooden spoon until smooth. Incorporate the vinegar into the mixture.
Application: Wear gloves and apply the paste with a sponge to the affected surfaces. For optimal results, let it sit for a few minutes before wiping off with a clean cloth and water. For heavy limescale on taps, a longer application might be needed, and a toothbrush can aid in precision cleaning.
