¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 large egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter
For the Chocolate Ganache:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup heavy cream
Instructions:
Prepare the Chocolate Cake Layer:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch springform pan.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk, oil, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and pour into the prepared pan.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
Lower the oven to 325°F (165°C).
In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Stir in sour cream and vanilla until creamy.
Pour over the cooled chocolate cake layer in the springform pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set. Cool and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
