Mason Schermerhorn’s sister, Alanna Wallace, shared her memories of her brother with Fox 5 News, describing him as a loving and vibrant person who had a significant impact on those around him. He was autistic, but it never dimmed his “glow.” Mason had recently started learning to play the trumpet, inspired by his sister, and enjoyed activities like video gaming and visiting amusement parks.
Wallace emphasized her brother’s compassionate nature, stating that he “loved everyone, no matter what they had, what disabilities.” She is now trying to channel his positive energy as she navigates this difficult time, supported by friends and the community who have rallied around her.
