The accident occurred as the trailer was traveling toward Mexico City.

Because the driver failed to brake in time before the Jorobas intersection, he crashed into an embankment and subsequently hit five cars and a van. Due to the wet road surface caused by the day’s rain, it is suspected that road conditions may have played a role in the accident. However, authorities are still investigating the cause.

Injuries and Safety Recommendations
Paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured. They sustained minor injuries. Although no serious injuries were reported, paramedics recommended that some be examined at the hospital to avoid possible complications.
