Instructions

1. Preheat and Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract.

3. Add Dry Ingredients

  • Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until combined. Stir in the chopped pecans.

4. Shape the Cookies

  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.

5. Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden.

6. Coat in Sugar

  • Let the cookies cool slightly, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
  • Once fully cooled, roll them in powdered sugar again for a thicker coating.
