Instructions

1. Prepare the filling
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with spices of your choice. Add chopped onions and cook until soft. Let the mixture cool slightly before using.

2. Assemble the rolls
Lay a spring roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Add 1–2 tablespoons of the beef mixture near one edge, sprinkle cheese on top, and roll tightly like a burrito. Use a bit of beaten egg to seal the edges.

3. Fry until golden
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

4. Serve hot
Best served fresh with ketchup, garlic mayo, spicy dipping sauce, or yogurt dip.

Tips & Variations

  • Use phyllo or puff pastry if spring roll wrappers are unavailable.

  • Add chopped jalapeños for a spicy kick.

  • Bake instead of fry: Brush with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Storage & Reheating

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep them crispy. Avoid the microwave as it softens the crust.
