Instructions:

1. Cook bacon until crispy, then chop or crumble it into small pieces.
2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup maple syrup until smooth.
3. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto half of the bread slices. Top with a generous sprinkle of bacon and then cover with the remaining bread slices to create sandwiches.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
5. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
6. Dip each bacon-stuffed sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
7. Cook the French toast sandwiches in the pan until golden brown on both sides.
8. Remove from the pan, slice diagonally, and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar and an extra drizzle of maple syrup.
