Preheat oven 350°F (175°C).
For the crust:
Mix the cookie crumbs, melted butter, and sugar together. Press into the bottom of an 11″ x 7″ mold. Place in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes and then refrigerate while you wait.
To decorate:
Using an electric mixer, beat the cream until it thickens and peaks form, and in another bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar, then add the whipped cream.  Mix and pour over the crust and garnish with the cherry filling. Spread with a spoon and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
