Are you tired of harsh chemical cleaners that can irritate your skin and damage the environment? There’s a simple, natural alternative that’s just as effective: citrus-infused white vinegar cleaner. This homemade cleaner is made with readily available ingredients and can be used to tackle a variety of cleaning tasks around your home.
Ingredients:
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
1/2 cup citrus peels (lemon, orange, or grapefruit)
1 tablespoon essential oil (optional)
Instructions:
Combine the ingredients: In a clean, airtight container, add the white vinegar, water, and citrus peels.
Let it infuse: Seal the container and let it sit in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours, or up to a week. The longer you let it infuse, the stronger the citrus scent will be.
Strain the mixture: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the citrus peels.
Add essential oil (optional): If desired, add the essential oil to the mixture for a more pleasant fragrance.
Store and use: Transfer the cleaner to a spray bottle and store it in a cool, dark place. Shake well before each use.
