Things used:
- Plastic containers that are clear, like used yogurt tubs
- Old cloth strips or cotton rope
- Soil for plants
- Plants from seeds
What to do:
- Getting the Container Ready: Punch a small hole in the bottom of your plastic container.
- Making the wick: Put a cotton rope or cloth strip through the hole, making sure one end stays inside the container and the other end hangs out.
- Putting It Together: Fill the pot with potting soil and put your seedling inside.
- Method of Watering: Set the pot on top of a bowl of water. The end of the rope or cloth that hangs down will soak up water, pulling it up into the pot and keeping the soil wet.
