  3. Prepare the Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, black pepper, and beef broth. Pour over beef and vegetables.
  4. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, allowing flavors to blend and vegetables to become tender.
  5. Final Touches: Stir in cabbage, carrot, and water chestnuts 30 minutes before serving. Increase heat to high to warm through. Meanwhile, prepare noodles.
