Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
2. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
3. Arrange a layer of frozen ravioli over the sauce. Top with more marinara sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
4. Repeat the layering process until all the ravioli are used, finishing with a generous layer of cheese.
5. Sprinkle the top with garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue to bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
7. Let the lasagna sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Variations & Tips
For those who enjoy a meatier dish, you can add layers of cooked ground beef, sausage, or even pepperoni between the ravioli layers. Vegetarians might consider incorporating a layer of roasted vegetables such as zucchini, bell peppers, and mushrooms. To enhance the cheesy goodness, try adding a layer of ricotta mixed with an egg and some herbs for extra richness and flavor.
