Musk’s comments came in response to a discussion involving Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock, who was asked whether Vice President Kamala Harris should support a mandatory gun buyback program.
Buyback programs, which aim to reduce the number of firearms in circulation by purchasing them from private owners, have been a contentious issue in the U.S. Musk’s stance against such programs aligns with his belief in safeguarding the right to bear arms against potential government overreach.
