Always connect heaters directly to wall sockets.

Maintain a safe distance of three feet around heaters.

Watch over heaters while they are on; do not leave them unattended.

Avoiding Fires Caused by Electricity

To stay safe, disconnect devices that produce heat when you’re not using them, don’t use extension cords too much, and make sure your electrical system is current.
