Instructions:
Mix Dough: Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Stir in warm water and olive oil until a sticky dough forms.
Knead & Rest: Knead for 8-10 minutes or mix with a stand mixer for 6-8 minutes. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
Stretch & Fold: Gently stretch the dough into a rectangle, fold into thirds, and let rest for 30 minutes. Repeat twice.
Shape: Divide dough into 2-3 portions, shape into loaves, and let rise for 45-60 minutes.
Bake: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with a baking stone and steam pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding.
Enjoy warm with olive oil, soups, or as sandwich bread!
