Preparation:
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add Liquids: Gradually add hot water and olive oil, mixing until the dough begins to form.
Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat Oven: Set the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Shape and Second Rise: Punch down the dough, shape it into a ball, and place it on a greased baking sheet.
Add Sesame Seeds: Make shallow cuts on the top of the dough and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
