Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Start and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Serve plain or with a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat!
