On Facebook, a woman named Sheila Pulanco Russell shared a handy tip on how to tell if the food in your freezer is still good after a power outage.
I heard a great tip for those of you who are leaving the beach. Sheila explains that it’s called the “one-cup tip.” “You put a cup of water in the freezer.” Once it’s frozen in the freezer, put a 25-cent coin on it and keep it there.
This simple tip will help you determine if your food is no longer good to eat.
