Before you begin your cardamom farming quest, you need to obtain the following materials:

Cardamom Seeds: You can either buy cardamom seeds from a reputable seller or use seeds that you have purchased from commercially available cardamom pods.

A container: Choose a container that is at least 12 inches in diameter and has adequate drainage. Cardamom plants need room to grow and sufficient drainage to prevent them from becoming waterlogged.

Choosing a potting soil that has a neutral pH and good drainage is the best option.

Warm, humid conditions are ideal for cardamom plants to thrive. If you live in an area with a dry environment, you may want to consider using a humidifier or humidity tray.

When it comes to sun, cardamoms thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. If you want to diffuse the light, you can either place your pot near a window that receives filtered sunlight or use sheer curtains.

The first step is to germinate the seeds.

Remove the seeds from the cardamom pods if you plan to use them. This step is necessary to prepare the seeds. To dissolve the seed coat, soak the seeds in warm water for twenty-four hours.
