Preheat the Air Fryer: Turn on your air fryer and preheat it to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Prepare the Steaks: Take 2 sirloin steaks, each about 8 oz, and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Season the Steaks: Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper. You can also add optional seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
Drizzle with Olive Oil: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the seasoned steaks and use your hands to rub it evenly onto the surface of the meat.
Place in the Air Fryer: Carefully place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket, making sure they are in a single layer and not overcrowded.
Cook the Steaks: Cook the steaks in the air fryer for 8-12 minutes, depending on your desired level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks. For medium-rare, cook for 8-10 minutes; for medium, cook for 10-12 minutes.
Flip Halfway Through: Halfway through the cooking time, flip the steaks using tongs to ensure even cooking on both sides.
Rest and Serve: Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.
Slice and Enjoy: After resting, slice the steaks against the grain into thin strips. Serve immediately with your favorite sides and enjoy the deliciousness!
