I saw my father kneeling, his hands shaking, opening an old wooden box. Inside were… old photos, stained papers, a child’s silver bracelet that had turned black, and a DNA test.

I tried to hold my breath. In the photo… was a pregnant woman I’d never seen before. Her face looked eerily like mine. I heard my father say in a strangled voice:

“You’ve kept this from me for 30 years… that little girl… she’s my daughter, isn’t she? I have a daughter I never knew about!”

My husband, who was standing beside him, was silent for a moment, then replied:

“Not only that… she’s also my wife. And now… she’s my sister too?”

I froze, my lips pursed until they bled. What the hell was I listening to?
