In a bowl, mix together the warm water, warm milk, dry yeast, sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Add the orange zest, orange juice, egg white, melted butter, vanilla sugar, flour, salt and baking powder to the yeast mixture. Mix until smooth. Let sit until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread a layer of chocolate spread, then roll into a log. Cut into slices.
Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let sit for another 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush the buns with the egg yolk, sprinkle with flaked almonds and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Once cooked, let them cool slightly, then sprinkle them with icing sugar.
