Why Does My Avocado Have Dark Spots?
Those brown or black patches aren’t always a sign of spoilage. Here are the most common (and harmless) causes:
🍃 Bruising – Rough handling during transport or storage can cause bruising, which affects texture but not safety.
🍃 Oxidation – Just like apples, avocados darken when exposed to air. It’s natural and doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad.
🍃 Cold Damage – Over-chilling in the fridge can lead to darkened areas, but the avocado is often still edible.
