In the coming weeks, residents in some parts of the United States might see a new road marking: a thin blue line between
the two yellow center lines. This blue line in Maryland honors the brave police officers who serve their communities.
The blue line, which leads directly to police stations, serves as both a safety measure and a gesture of appreciation
for the officers who risk their lives daily. Mayor Rick Sheehan of Ocean City, Maryland, is pleased with the addition
of these blue lines, recognizing the vital role police officers play in maintaining peace in his vibrant beach community.
