Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, crushed pineapple (with juice), eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Evenly place pineapple chunks on top of the butter-sugar mixture. Pour the cake batter over the pineapple layer.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled!
