How to lighten grout naturally
- Preparing the solution: Start by mixing half a cup of baking soda with half a cup of white vinegar in a bowl. You will notice an effervescent reaction indicating the activation of the powerful cleaning agents.
- Applying the solution: Using an old toothbrush or soft bristle brush, apply the solution to the floor grout. Make sure you spread the mixture evenly and focus on the dirtiest or stained areas.
- Leave it on and rub it in: After applying the solution, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. This will give the baking soda and vinegar time to penetrate and break down the dirt and residue. Then, with the same brush or cloth, rub the joints vigorously to remove any loosened dirt.
- Rinse and admire: Once cleaning is complete, rinse the grout thoroughly with clean water. You will be amazed at the brightness and cleanliness that will appear before your eyes. Dry with a clean cloth and admire the result: flawless joints and a floor that looks like it has just been installed!
Cleaning floor grout doesn’t have to be an arduous and expensive task. With the help of natural ingredients like vinegar and baking soda, you can achieve amazing results with just one pass. In addition to effective cleaning, this method also offers environmental and economic benefits.
