According to Gulf News, Mr Yadav accepted the bet and managed to devour 41 before he suddenly collapsed and fell unconscious upon eating number 42.
He was rushed to hospital before being transferred to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences where he passed away just hours later.
Doctors ruled Mr Yadav had d.ied from complications due to over-eating the dozens of eggs.
His family have not commented on the tragic incident, police added.
