How often do you clean your oven?
Depending on how often you use it, sometimes you need to clean it once every two months, otherwise the accumulated dirt will surprise you.
Most meat juices, sauces and other spilled ingredients end up hardening and sticking to our ovens.
When you can smell leftover oils and debris from other meals, that’s not a good thing.
This means it’s time to clean up.

The key ingredients Mr. Gizmo uses are baking soda and vinegar.
Sound familiar? In fact, both of these ingredients are readily available in your pantry, they cost less, and they are very effective for cleaning.
How do they work?
Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), can dissolve organic matter. Its abrasiveness also allows it to scrub surfaces without damaging them.
Now, due to the acidity of vinegar or a diluted version of acetic acid (HC2H3O2), it is effective in removing stubborn stains which it helps break down.
So, did you know they are opposites? Baking soda and vinegar are on opposite sides of the pH level.
So when you mix them you get a chemical reaction.
A good kind of chemical reaction.

Baking soda and vinegar are safe. No wonder many people prefer using them over those store-bought cleaning agents that are full of harmful chemicals.
