Successful Surgery and a New Beginning
For the past couple of years, Luna and her family have been traveling to Krasnodar, Russia, for Luna’s treatment. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the family continued to make the journey, and all six of Luna’s surgeries have been successful.
Dr. Popov is thrilled with the outcome, stating that the risk of Luna developing skin cancer has decreased significantly. “We only had six operations to remove the nevus and have succeeded in making it disappear,” he told East2West News.
The surgeries have also transformed Luna’s life in a way that words cannot fully describe. She’s now a confident little girl who proudly declares, “My black spot has gone. I am a princess.”
While the main medical procedures are completed, Dr. Popov explained that there are still aesthetic surgeries to come to ensure Luna feels confident about her appearance as she grows older.
