1. Deodorize the room

Many people deodorize their rooms with essential oils or scented wax. However, salt combined with fabric softener is a great deodorizing treatment that is extremely inexpensive.

• Prepare a box of white salt (should use large-grained salt), your favorite fabric softener and a container.
• Pour white salt into the box and add a small amount of fabric softener.
• Mix thoroughly and set this box in areas that require deodorization, such as the bathroom, bedroom, cupboard, or near a window.

The fabric softener’s smell will spread around, helping to eradicate undesirable odors. The reason for combining fabric softener and salt is that salt has a natural antibacterial action, absorbs odors, and purifies the air.

2. Clean and deodorize toilets

Fabric softener provides a pleasant fragrance and might help deodorize the toilet. Meanwhile, salt has a gentle cleaning action that helps to eliminate stains and deodorize.

• Combine salt and fabric softener and sprinkle it all over the toilet surface.
• Allow it to sit for 30 minutes before cleaning up with a brush to eliminate any debris and odors.
• Flush the water to wash away the filth.

3. Clean the floor.

Salt not only disinfects but also speeds up the drying process on floors. Meanwhile, fabric softener will help clean ceramic tiles and leave the floor shining.

Simply add a little salt and fabric softener into clean water and use it to remove the stain.
