Banks and other financial institutions might face unprecedented challenges, leading to tighter credit, more bankruptcies, and reduced liquidity. Supply chains would be severely disrupted, causing shortages of essential goods. Unemployment rates would spike, particularly in industries like retail and manufacturing.
