Preparation :
Mix and form the meatballs:
In a bowl, mix the minced meat with the egg, breadcrumbs, pecorino, garlic and basil. Season with salt and pepper, then form into balls.
Sear the meatballs:
In a pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and brown the meatballs on all sides. Reserve.
Preparation of the sauce:
In the same pan, add the crushed peeled tomatoes, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, then add the meatballs so that they soak up the sauce.
Service :
Serve the Neapolitan meatballs hot, garnished with pine nuts and fresh basil. Perfect with pasta or a nice slice of bread.
