Preparation:
Make the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
Add the oil and water to the dry ingredients. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough. Adjust with more flour or water if needed.
Shape the Flatbreads:
Pinch off small pieces of the dough and roll them into balls.
On a lightly floured surface, flatten each ball with a rolling pin to form your flatbreads. Aim for a thickness of about 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
Cook the Flatbreads:
Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, place a flatbread in the pan.
Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and slightly puffed up. Repeat the process with the remaining flatbreads.
Garlic Oil Brushing:
In a small bowl, mix a little oil with pressed garlic and your chosen herbs to create a flavor-packed brushing mixture.
Once each flatbread is cooked, brush the garlic oil mixture over the top side while they are still warm to infuse them with a delicious garlicky herb flavor.
