Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined—do not overmix.
5. Spoon the batter into each donut cavity, filling them about 2/3 full.
6. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
8. Once the donuts are slightly cooled, dip the tops into the glaze and place on a wire rack to set.
