Cook the meat ground beef and onion with salt and pepper to taste in a large pan. over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink.

Drain fat if necessary.

Place the pan on the stove and sprinkle garlic powder and taco seasoning over the beef.

Add rice, broth, corn, tomato sauce and salsa and mix well.

Boil the mixture.Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes until rice is tender.

Cover the top with cheese and leave the pan covered for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
