Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish or line with parchment.

In a mixing bowl, stir together cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a thick dough forms.

Press dough evenly into prepared pan.

Bake 20–25 minutes, until edges are golden and center is set but slightly soft.

Cool 10–15 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Optional Add-Ins
Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or nuts on top before baking.

Drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce after baking.

Dust with powdered sugar for a classic finish.
